Declutter hair and beauty products with Clutter Collect & Second Skin

Today I’m so excited to announce our newest Corporate Partner – Second Skin. When I first met Second Skin’s founder, Anastasia, I knew I had found a kindred spirit. Not only that, but a collaboration between our businesses would be a match made in heaven. Before I get into the nitty-gritty of how we’ll work together, here’s the scoop on Second Skin. Whether or not you are a Clutter Collect customer, I want you to know about this business because it is brilliant.

Second Skin is locally owned and operated right here in Auckland. They accept and sell eligible* skincare, haircare, beauty and fragrance items that are brand new. They are the first and only dedicated beauty resale website in New Zealand, and their customer base covers all of Aotearoa and now Australia too. (Be still my beating heart – a company with heart, ambition AND success!) Second Skin sells your products on consignment, which means that you could get paid to declutter your beauty cabinet. Ohhhhh yeah!

The reason I am SO excited about this partnership is because since I started Clutter Collect, hair and beauty products have been on the list of items we can’t accept, simply because I hadn’t found anyone that I could pass them on to. Now that we’ve buddied up with Second Skin, the final frontier of decluttering (AKA the bathroom cabinet) has been conquered. Yahoo!

Here's what you need to know:

  1. You can now put new, un-used beauty products in your Clutter Box, and we’ll pass them onto Second Skin for resale.
  2. Clutter Collect has been set up as a seller on Second Skin’s website.
  3. Clutter Collect's proceeds from Second Skin will be donated equally amongst our Partner Charities on a quarterly basis.
  4. It's a win for everyone, and our planet!

I’m excited that with the help of Second Skin, we’re holding true to our promise of easy, feel-good decluttering. Now… Go and have a scoot through your bathroom cabinet and see if you can find any new, un-used products that someone else might love. Pop them in your next Clutter Box, or pop over to Second Skin and set yourself up as a seller. Whether you declutter through Clutter Collect or Second Skin, it makes my heart so happy to think that your resale-friendly* beauty items will get a second chance through this fantastic kiwi business.

*There is an excellent summary of resale-friendly criteria on the Second Skin website.
